This is a 30 second teaser video of our music video, we have released this in order to keep our fans following us, and also to give them an idea on what the official video is going to be like. It was important to us to release a teaser as we felt that we wanted to allow our fans to spread the word about our new video and also we felt this may help us to gain new fans.
Digipak Photoshoot
These are some of the images from the photo shoot which we did for our digipak. The pictures show the fun and loving side to us girls and we really wanted to ensure that our fans could see this through the images. We also wanted to incorporate our theme of country into our images.
Music Video Draft 3
This is a third draft of our music video, the feedback we got on this was that some parts of the lip sync are slightly out of time, we have now changed this to correct it. We have also received feedback from our teacher when she watched this video, she suggested:
- We need to sort out the contrast and brightness with the majority of the shots to ensure they are all equal.
- We need to test out different ways to merge the split screen together (near the end of the video) to make us look less segregated when Renae is singing "sticks and stones".
- We need to go over all of our cuts between each shot to see if we can match them up more significantly with the beat of the song.
- We need to cut out bits of video where the camera jitters EG pip on the tractor.
- Remove the footage of pip walking away from the camera. (2:01)
- Rearrange some of the single shots so that the same person isnt next to eachother after each cut. EG pip walking on the logs and pip in the corn field (1:47)
- Zoom out the shot where Sophie hits the girls on the head.
- Contrast majority of the shots.
- Pan next too the wooden panels is too boring.
- 2:50- lip sync is out.
Final Magazine
This is our final copy of our magazine cover, we have taken into consideration all of the feedback that we gained from our teachers and our classmates and created this new one. We decided to have balloons on the cover to create an element of synergy throughout our products as we have these in the video and also the digipak.

Due to feedback that we gained from our class mates and our teachers, we decided that our website needed some colour and we decided to go for a pastel colour theme. We also changed the tour dates page We also added some more merchandise onto the website and we added the song onto it.
Digipak Research
Album Covers
Firstly, as we were performing and creating the video in the style of country music we went about researching different country albums so we found a variety of different country albums and a few other as well to get a range and make sure we had enough research to get our own digipak to a high quality. These are the different ideas we had.
Group Reflection
Our group work really well together, this is mainly due to being close friends and in the same friendship group. We have certain job roles for each of us, Pip and Sophie are the main editors in the group, Ale is in charge of creating the website so this means editing all of the merchandise, adding on the social media accounts etc., and I am in charge of the digipak. We all share the same role of adding things onto our social media accounts and also us three girls share the same role of singing throughout the video, whereas Ale was the director of the video who gathered all of the footage.
Digipak First Draft - Feedback
This is our first draft of our digipak, this has been created over the last week. We have shown both of our teachers and also our class mates and we have then gained feedback form them on what we need to change and also what is good about our Digipak.
Feedback given:
- Top left image is too squished and looks out of proportion.
- Why are all of them wearing the exact same outfit in each image? If they are in double denim they should wear this in the video as well.
- I like to theme of the balloons and this creates synergy throughout the products.
- The CD looks too artificial.
- Need the writing for the production company on the back with the list of songs.
Gif Sneak Peek
We decided to create a Gif for our fans as it gives a sneak peek to our music video and we feel that this will keep our fans loyal to us a as a band and to keep wanting to follow us until; the video is released.
Logo Alterations
Here are two example of our logo, as you can see we have changed the I in Vanilla from a guitar to now a microphone, the reason that we have done this is because we got feedback from our classmates which said that the guitar doesn't match due to it not being in our video. However, we all felt that the microphone matched as we are all singers therefore the microphone matches ur album the best. We have chosen to use both colours throughout our promotional work, such as our digipak, magazine and tour poster.
Second Draft
This is the second draft of our music video, you can see the difference in this from our first draft and the progress that we've made. Since our first draft, we have had another shooting day where we filmed some more footage which allowed us to have some more add in clips into the bits of the video. We also brought in the theme of the balloons within this shoot which we felt was a cute idea for our video and made it more fun.

Here are some of the recent posts that we have done on our social media accounts, we feel that it is important to keep our fans up to date on how the music video is coming along, and also to keep them up to date on where our next meet up is. Teaser Music Video
This is a teaser of our music video, as you can see we have quite a lot of footage however we do have some blank spots where we feel we need to add some more fun shots in rather than just lip syncing. Also, we feel we may need to get some more footage to add into the blank spots.
Song List Research
We have analysed 3 different albums and their song lists, of which we have received ideas from the type of titles of songs on these particular albums. Two of these belong to women individual artists, and another to a group of singers, however all are recognisable in the type of songs as they correspond to the type of album it is.
Ariana's "My Everything" album is straight away noticeable that a lot of her songs were inspired by a time in her life where she maybe had relationship troubles. Typically you would think it to be about a break up that she experienced and she is reminiscing on events that mean a lot to her. Her album name is also the title of a song which she spoke out about to be dedicated to her Grandad who unfortunately passed away.
Little mixes album is slightly different as these songs will be a representation of all of the group of girls as individuals and the journeys they have experienced together; this is something which we want to incorporate into our track list as this is something which we like and want to be represented as.
Our songs on our album represent us as a group as well as individuals and express the journeys and events of which we have experienced together as a band. We really wanted to use a country theme across all of our products as this was our theme and genre, especially the titles of our songs. A lot of songs are empowering and express us as bold unique girls.
Cross Media Task
As you can see from this music video the colours black and blue are used throughout, there are no other colours within this video and this shows that he wants to maintain the same theme throughout all of his videos and branding.
This is another video of Ed's where you can see that again the colours blue and black are used again, this is also the same concept as the other video I have shown as it is just an animation video, this is good to have released because it shows the synergy and also it is a little teaser before the official video was released.
These are screen grabs from Ed Sheeran's website, you can see from these images the synergy with the colour blue and black. You can also see that the text is the same throughout the website as well as on the album covers. There are also divide signs within the merchandise images and this again is synergy as this sign is also on the album cover. The same font is also used on the website, the album cover and within the music video, this is another example of synergy within his work.
This is the teaser trailer for Ed's new album 'Divide' the key features that you can see form this trailer are the colours which are going to be sued throughout so again this shows good synergy and how he has been consistent with this. Also you can see the divide symbol which is used on the album cover and which represents the album. Also within this teaser trailer you can see the lyrics to some of the songs within the album. The best key feature is Ed himself holding a sign saying when the music is being released, this would have made more of an audience as it was him himself therefore more fans would have liked and watched this trailer and would have spreaded the word more about his album coming out and would have bought it or pre ordered it.
This is one of Ed's album covers, as you can see the divide sign is used again within this and also the same shade of blue and black is used again. By using the same colours and symbols throughout his website and album covers, this shows the unity of his brand. I think that the most important element on this album cover is the divide symbol, mainly because the album is called divide therefore it links in with that, then the album is blue and black which is the main colours throughout all of his videos, website and album cover.
Mood Board
This is a mood board for our band, within this are pictures of things which we are trying to portray in our music video. These pictures show off our country theme and also some of the locations which we have filmed on for our video.
Cloning Practice
The cloning technique is something which we felt looks great when perfected and we wanted to include it in our video. The wood back ground fits really well as it looks as though its all slanted together, we wanted to inlcude the wood panels in our video as they match our theme of country.
In the real thing we have decided to use all three of us in the cloning shot and we will have six windows all together. This then brings us together as a band and makes us appear united as a girl band rather than looking i like individuals.
